The room was quiet and bright, included with enormous bathroom, superb views, as for instance. Plenty of food for breakfast, which was lovely to satisfy everyone. The staff was courteous and polite, everything was great.

Pleasantly situated and comfortable. It's a beautiful spot and the hotel setting and grounds are very nice. Having a cooked to order breakfast was great. The staff were great and we enjoyed the personal tour when we arrived, something that you don't get in the big hotels.
The bedroom had a distnctive "drain"smell when we first arrived and this was definitely from the bathroom. We managed to air this out but perhaps needs looking into. Our main criticism of the hotel is the bar area. We had a meal there on the Saturday evening and it's very dull, lacked an atmosphere partly due to its size and just feels a bit austere.

I don't think I can explain just how enjoyable my experience at this hotel was. The location was stunning, the hotel itself had a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble for the excellent staff (several of whom came and introduced themselves during our 2 night stay) and the food (both in the bar and restaurant) was delicious - we were very impressed with the standard. My friends and family will certainly be receiving a recommendation to visit this incredibly warm and inviting hotel... And if they don't wish to stay the night I would certainly suggest they sample the menu, both evening and morning meals were fantastic.
If I were to be very picky indeed and make one comment it would be that if you wish to sit in the bar outwith peak times be aware that it can take a little patience to get served - that said there is a bell to ring and it was easy to have a little wander to find an employee to get service. Everyone was very approachable so this minor detail didn't feel like any sort of inconvenience.

It offered us stunning and marvellous location just next door to library, and fields. The very kind and courteous staff made it a pleasurable place to stay.

Lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Roaring log fires and some lovely touches like ground coffee and loose leaf tea in rooms. Fabulous food. All made extra special by getting a last minute booking at a bargain price! Would definitely return and already recommending to friends.

I recently returned to the fortingall after a previous visit and was blown away by how much it exceeded my expectations. The rooms were warm and comfortable, and the bar areas with open fires created the perfect cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was a delight with fresh ingredients and variety.

The location ,excellent as a base for hill walking, canoeing ,other water sports lots more..
The only down side was the pillows. When i took off the pillow case the pillows were covered in brown stains, .and they were hard and flat.Very cheap pillows and duvet. Not really acceptable for a 4 star hotel and £110 a night.

A true Country Hotel, attentive staff providing a first class and friendly service. A very high standard of food, well made and presented. Lovely room with a superb view which was kept immaculate. Excellent bar. I've travelled all over the world with my work and it is indeed rare to stay in a Hotel and not have anything negative to say about it, but our time at the Fortingall was relaxed, enjoyable and faultless.

This one had me thinking.
Nestled in fine surroundings, this charming hotel impressed with its warm staff and spacious rooms. The breakfast was really good, with generous portions of fresh options. The dated decor and musty odors detracted from the overall experience. Despite these quirks, the hospitality shone brightly was good.
